I just got a 14 gallon fish tank for a few weeks ago(i had one for years when i was younger, but let it go) and naturally I went and got some fish for it, but as i have started to read about the fish i bought i realize they may not be the best for each other, despite the store clerk saying it was fine.
I got one rainbow shark and five tetras - two have died so i am down to three. I had to put the fish in a small five gallon old tank at first as my new one appeared to be leaking, btu they are all doing well in the 14 gallon tank.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to put in the tank, ideally i would like to have schooling tetra's, the rainbow shark, and a couple others, but i dont know how feasible this is. the rainbow shark harassed the tetras in the small tank, which i expected, but seems to care less about him in his new home. I had two bala sharks for 6-7 years when i was little in a similar size tank with tetra's and a red tail shark
i am open for all suggestions here

Really the sharks need a 4ft + tank, so I would take them back.
Tetras....where do you start, theres Runny noses which look great in a group of 10, I like Blue Neon Rainbows, loveley fish, also Red eyes, lemon tetras, phantoms....just stay away from Serpae etc which can be nippers.
You could always put 2 rams in a tank that size.
