Racist fish

i bought a pair of twin bar gold platiies one a prego female and a male. a few weeks later 1 bought a "painted" platy as my second female. well the male absolutley hates her. chases her away from the group stresses her nips at her etc. I think my platy is racist towards other colors cause they are sold at the lfs with only their color and i went and introduced a new color. how can i stop this before she gets killed?

remove the male for a week or so. if u'v ever added fish in a tank where u had angel fish u'd know they hat new comers. thats why most people who want angle fish buy them last because if added first they assume that its their tank. if u remove him for a while and let the painted female relax and recover he will not be as agressive as he was.

or a 1 gallon isolation tank

I saw the title of your question and I had to read it, and now I'm stuck with the picture of the platy being chased around a tank being chased by a bunch of guppy fry. It's like seeing some poor guy being locked in a room with a bunch of little kids.

especially my 3 males that annoy each other im sure they would love annoying him

I had a sunset Platy that took a dislike to one of my yellow Platys, they were both female and I couldn't for the life of me work out why the sunset disliked the yellow so much (maybe she called her a fat pig or something!!)

Anyway, I removed the sunset for a week but when I put her back in, the arguing didn't stop so i ended up removing the sunset completely and took him back to my lfs.

Try seperating them for a while, but the advice I received was if the arguing continues after you re-unite them, then they'll probably never get along.
