I've got 2 silver,1 black and one sunset blushing angel(yellowish)

the black one hates the yellow one and the silver ones hate the black one
and are almost always chasing eachother and pecking at eachothers fins.

is this normal?

if i were to get another yellow and another black one so there is a pair of each colour

would this solve the problem or dont they care wat colour one another are?(unlike some humans)

thankss

its probably a weird dominance issue...i've never kept angels, but the only thing i could think of would be the males are trying to figure out who is the boss

I thought you were going to say the white one hates the black one, and then my response was going to be, well that is pretty typical in most western societies.

Sorry bad racist joke. Don't kick me off for saying it. I only responded to the topic title.

Depending on how old the fish are will answer the question as to whether it is normal. If the fish are mature (over 6 months) then they are probably setting up territories and wanting to breed. This happens with most cichlids and angels are no different. You get a couple that like each other and pr up. Then they set up a territory somewhere that they call their home. Now they chase everyone else away from their home. Other angelfish get chased away first because they are the main competitors. However, when a pr of angels start breeding they will chase any fish away from their nesting site.

See if two of the angels hang out together and if they do, then they are the pr. You should either move those two into another tank, or better still, leave them there and move the other angels in to another tank so the pr can have their space.
If the tank is really big, say 6ft, then you can have several prs in the tank together.

Ahahaha nice joke;)

yeh mines only a four foot and the two silver ones seem to be paired up

thanks for the response :good:

if you don't have anywhere to move the unpaired fish to, try adding a lot of plants or some driftwood to the middle of the tank. This will help provide a bit of a divider/ partition to the tank and hopefully the pr of angels will hang out on one side, and the others can hang out on the other side.
