When ever i clean out my tank with the bala sharks in, i always put the fish into a bucket but if i dont cover the lid they always jump out even when im catching the bala sahrks with the net they always jump out onto the floor, R Bala sharks common for doin this??

Yes it seems very common (though I have never personally owned any) but they are naturally surface dwellers anyway
