Well this weekend has been a sad one.
Found out this afternoon that someone poisoned my Mastiff.
He was the biggest soppiest Mastiff i have ever known, and he would obey only me and no-one else.
This is him as a puppy with our groundskeeper Rohit - He looked after the Buffallo's and Dogs.

what complete

Very sad news Gill. :(

RIP Tiger x

someone threw poisoned meat into there enclosure. This has now been moved away from the walls, to protect the other dogs.

He was built like the proverbial Brick **** House. One of the Female Cows kicked him in the head and detached his retina, never even phased him.

how could someone do that? :(

it happens alot over there, Big Dogs are very expensive and only from Breeding Farms. We have had 4 Dogs Poisoned now over the last 6 Years. I had to be careful when walking him to make sure no-one followed me - as sometimes they try and snatch the dogs when you are out walking them. Most people and animals were deadly scared of tiger as he was soooooooo big ana menacing looking. but a big softy.
As we have one of the largest farms in the punjab, alot of other farmers are jealous of my In-Laws Wealth and prosperity. even more so that my mother in law is building a 15 bedroom Mansion with Ensuite in every bedroom.
she is using 2 acres for the Mansion and courtyard, which will have the 10K gallon Raised Concrete Pond for me and my Brother in Law.

so sorry to hear about your loss, Hope you find out who did it :(

will never knwo who did it as there are people in/out of the estate all day long.

Wow Gill!! Can I move in?!

don't think you would survive the heat mate. it was 56 degrees in the shade yesterday.
they were spraying the buffallo most of the day to keep them cool, then let them into the river to cool off.

For that sort of heat Id pay it, I need to work on my tan a bit! Just got back from Dubai, heat hit about the 56 mark too in the desert, and I was the typical Brit lying out in it all day long!!!

dam those bar stewards!!!!!
mate i feel your lose, they are cowards who cannot say things to you face, so have to resort to creeping round in the darkness

where in the world is this farm / mainsion you own?
can you not afford a night/day patrolman like my wifes parents have on there farm back in colombia?
then word spreads that you have a poor class worker, working for you and they tend to leave you alone as your supplying there so called class with work,,
hate to say "class" but in colombia there is the rich then theres the poor and the poor are so poor.....

when people in england think of poor they look at council estates in england
people with house from council and monies if you dont work, this country is so lucky,, i see people in colombia litterally building houses on the edge of rivers with whatever they can scronge from the streets, and wondering where there next meal is going to come from,,,,

opps iam going of track sorry

no worries going of track.

i so understand Colombia has many town and villages like Ours (named after my Ancestors) and the divide is extreme.

We have a Houseboy and 2 Guards that Live onsite, but they can't see everything and there is always a throng of people In/out of the Estate.
As we have a Wood Cutters/Tree Fellers and Carpenters business on Site, then theres the Transportation Business, and then theres the fields and workers, Maids, Laundry people,

I hate the Class Divides, and always treat the workers and staff with the same respect i would ask of them. Even the Buffallo S*** Shoveller gets my respect. If i order a takeout i order for everyone who is there and everyone eats. Much to the Horror of my Inlaws (i tel them to shut up) its not like i spend there money, i have my own.

I hate the Shanty Towns but they are part of the landscape.
We hold a Gala Open day every year.
My nanna organises the whole thing and we collect clothes from all our friends and parcel them over by the 10-20 Kilo Boxes.
then go over and my nanna Opens Her villa up for the day and has a Caterer feeding anyone and anything that wants feeding and food to take home, they can come and go as much as they like
Brides to be get wedding dresses and the grooms get sherwanis (tux's)
anyone who needs clothes gets them
Any Strays are bathed groomed and fed. Nanna Never has problems as they Strays are always on Guard for her.
I have been over a few times to help on these open days and its great to watch the amount of people who come. Even some of Nannas neighbours come and they get the same treatment as the Shanty town folk.

I remember one year this little girl kept coming back and filling up her clay pot with lentils and chappattis, but would come back a few mins Later. I followed her outside and saw that the strays were crowding round her and making her gve them the food.
So i told Nanna and she sat her down to make sure she ate her fill, and asked one of the maids to escort her home with some food parcels and clothes. her family were tooooo embarrassed to come so sent there 7yr old daughter to fetch things back.
