Ruby was so special to me, and I miss him a lot.

I don't know what was wrong with him. He was fine until a few days ago when I noticed him sitting in a plant that my big weather fish had uprooted and which was floating at the top. He was eating and seemed fine.

Then a day before he died I moved the plant and when he swam out his tail seemed to be pulling him down. He could swim, but with difficulty, so I moved him and the plant to a smaller tank. That night I put him into a plastic breeding trap so that he would have a shallow space and no water would stir around him, but by then he couldn't swim normally at all. He was just hanging in the water nose up. He died the following morning.

Do you have any idea what could have happened to him?
