hi folks,
just wondered what any of your quickest remedy for white spot would be, got some stuff today and added it, but not sure how quick it works,

all happened when i added a fish to the tank at the weekend, and after a few days the spot started to show,it is on both my rummy nose tetras, my RTBS and a serpae tetra, and a gourami, but not too bad, just a touch on some of them, havent lost any to it yet thats main thing!!

we use esHa products and their whitespot treatment usually works in one treatment - and the spots are gone the next day.

If its hardier you can treat for upto 5 days. thats enought to kill it no problems.

Push up the temperature to 84F and it will speed up the life cycle of the Ich, killing it quicker. Use an airstone if you have one.

i guess you mean as well as treating?

if not wont that just speed up the spread of the problem?

It's taken me 2 weeks to rid a tank of whitespot before, so just be patient, use the medicine as directed, and make sure your fish are still eating. A fish absolutely coated in whitespot can make an amazing comeback - wish it were the same for fungus ...
