Hi all, just wondering if Baking Powder can be used to raise PH, instead of Baking Soda. Cant find baking soda in the house and its late at night so i cant get to shops till tomorrow.

Figured it was worth a try to ask.

Read the ingredients on the baking powder. Often, it is mainly flour, with bicarb and cream of tartar in it. I imagine flour in a tank would make a right mess

I see. Guess its off to the shop tomorrow after uni then. Water changes wouldnt help so i have to try this :\
