I told you it was a quick question, I guess the description says it all :p I'm remodeling my tank so i uprooted all my plants because i'm expecting a big shipment of plants in 3-4 days. I want to know if i can just leave them floating for a couple days because I'm not yet completely sure of the layout for my tank unitl i see my new plants  Here are the plants that have been floating in my tank since yesterday:
  • Dwarf Onions
  • Water Sprites
  • Red Rubins
  • Anubias Nana
  • Dwarf Sags

hmm, i hope im not super wrong but i think if it would be just 1 few days nothing bad will happen, as long as they plants are still submerged :)

On recommendation from LL, I often leave new plants or propagations floating for a week, for them to grow their root systems back. Also good because less distance from light to plant so more light for plants.

I too leave plants uprooted from the substrate for a week or 5 dyas. Just till they get some roots happening. :)

as long as they have sufficient space so that they dont cover each other the plants should be fine for a week. Some of them may lose a few leaves!

the green on the roots is most likely some sort of algae buildup...i have found that roots that get algae growth keep algae growth even after i replant them...these roots SEEM to grow slower or not at all, too, so i would MAYBE cut off those algae'd roots (IF OTHERS RECOMMEND THE SAME THING - but i could be completely mistaken so wait for other responses)
