Just a quickie

Brackish water of around Sg 1.003-1.006 should I use a FW liquid Test kit or a SW liquid Test kit :D?

Many Thanks

I use FW.
I don't know what kits your are using but some of the Tetra test kits especially the nitrite and nitrate are suitable for both FW and SW.

I am using API Master Test Kit (Freshwater)

Depends what you're testing. Low range pH test kits for example won't be particularly useful with brackish water systems. Some test kits may be made exclusively for freshwater conditions (and will say so on the package). But generally test kits should work well in either.

Cheers, Neale

Just general things I will be testing, Such as:

Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate
PH but the kit comes with high range PH tester aswell. I just thought as the water has salt in it, the chemicals might react in a differet way?

Many Thanks

API master test kit is for both...

If you look in the box there should be a frshwater card and saltwater card

The API master kit I have only came with freshwater cards for the tests that there's a difference (pH and ammonia), but the individual tests come with separate fresh and salt water cards as appropriate.

Nope mine was distinctfully labelled freshwater, otherwise I wouldnt of posted. It only has FW cards and high and low range PH Tests
