Quick Question?

Can i keep JD's and silver sharks (bala) in a tank together?

I know they need lots of room and I will accomadate it. Right now i have 3 very small JD's and a rainbow shark in a 55 gal. I want to get at least 3 silver sharks. I have plans for a huge huge huge tank in the spring. so if i get the fish (balas) now (they are ver small less than 1") will it be ok till spring. the tank is over filtered now and i perform water changes and water tests regularly.

I am not a beginner at fish keeping i have been doing it for several years.

P.S. i recently set up a breeding tank for platies to raise my own feeder fish, it hurts to feed the little babies to the fish in the bigger tank but i guess i'll get used to it eventually

I think balla sharks can be kept in 50 gallons. they only grow about a foot long in tanks, right?

50 gallons is too small for bala sharks http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=123786 , http/www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/silver.htm but that wasn't his question anyways so nevermind.

Rayne.. You're braver than I am, I could never face feeding babies.. I always consider it but can never bring myself to doing it!!

As for the compatability thing, can't help there I'm afraid (been pretty useless so far haven't I?)
