iv have just orderd 2 CRYPTOCORYNE which will be arriving in pots, when i got to put these in the tank, do i plant them in them still in the pots, or take them out of the pot and only have them in the sand?

thanks

I always take them out of the pots, try to gently remove any sponge material on them, clip the dead roots off, trim back the root ball so you don't have any really long roots and remove any dead or dying leaves. Plant it in the substrate but don't bury the top of the root ball.

Yes, I take them out and take as much of the "packing" as I can as well. Don't know what that stuff is but it's nasty.

I put mine in substrate with rhysomes(sp?) above the substrate but used some small pebbles to hide it from view. I got two or three plants in each pot if I remember correctly.

Guessing you mean rock wool, the spongy stuff the roots grow into that's really hard to get ALL of it off?? It comes off a lot easier underwater, that's the best advice I can give other than patience!
