OK, my final choices are-
Tropix
Visitherm
Interpret deltatherm
Rena Cal

Which is best?

ebo jagers are generally know as reliable.
I have 5 and none have screwed up yet.

Yes but they are too big for my tank. I'll probably go with Rena Cal. I doesn't really matter, I'm still going to pay my dad back £20 for getting the heater, shelless BBS and Betta Biogold on his credit card.

all mine are visitherm heaters and I have never (touch wood!!) had any problems.

Visitherm are supposed to be pretty good.

I'll go for Visitherm then. They are cheaper too, not that it matters but anyway.

EBO JAGER...Hands down. Rock stable temps. Solid. Reliable. I'm have 3 now. SH

They only have 200 and 300 watt jagers. Otherwise I would.

I just read last night (online) that the new ebo jagers are not as good as the old one. Someone posted that the new ones say they are not submersible but when they called, they were told that they could submerse them. Kinda scary.
