i have bred normal kribs and want to try to breed the albino type...Is it better to have a albino krib pair or a pair containing 1 male (normal krib) and 1 female (albino)???

P.S. is it true that albino females prefer normal coloured males and normal male kribs prefer albino females?

Im not 100% sure, but im guessing that if both male and female are albino then the fry will be albino. But if one is albino and the other is normal then id say theres 50% that the fry would be albino.

As i said im not 100% sure i am right, maybe someone else can shine some light on this :good:

Yes, reg males are more attracted to albino female's as their stomach coloration is better. Im not sure about female albino's like reg male's though. THey both breed the same. If you breed albino to albino, maybe 90% will be albino, dpending on how many albino gene's she has. Got any pic's from you baby kirb's? I remeber you posting them mating, but never saw any baby pic's!

i had the babies, grew em up and sold em...Too bad the male died so i sold the female and got another pair and they keep on breeding. I put them into the main tank now after selling their 2nd batch coz i wanted to breed something else. Now i got a pair of badis badis. Not sure if i got 2 of the same sex. Il post pics up when i can.

i posted a pic in the oddball section under heading 'sexing badis badis'. Il also post it here so its not too much trouble. Any help of whether i got a successful pair (male and female) would be appreciated. Small fish 3cm, larger at 4.5cm. Larger fish has darkened even more than as seen in the pics and periodically chases the smaller fish (whose colour virtually stays the same). larger fish mostly stays inside its coconut cave.
