I have one of the Juwel internal filters it has a heater in it, just wondering if the wires powering the pump and heater is supposed to be under water?

Thanks.

Its an internal filter, so I could only assume so. I think pretty much all heaters now are designed to be 100% submerged but I could be wrong

K thankyou just that I know electricity and water dont mix. This will probably be the first of many questions from me as its my first tropical tank. This forum looks very helpful once again thankyou.

Another question on the filter. there is a bit where the water passes through the heater and then theres the bit with all the filter sponges the pump bit that sucks is that supposed to suck it from the filter bit or the heater side? And theres a little sticky out pipe I take it that blows it out into the tank?

Thanks
