Don't see why not. Although if you have goldfish in the tank, they're bound to eat them or so I understand.... Some plants can't take the temp., better do some research and see which specific plant you want to keep. Depends on the plant I guess. Just like how some plants can't grow in very warm water....
 
there are some tropicals that prefer lower temps(i.e albino cory) but i dont recomend it

Silly.... I don't see why not, although I wouldn't go and comepletely stock the tankwith expensive tropical plants, only to have them die.
 
this post should be moved to the plants and planted tank section where it will get more answers....personally i would TRY it with a plant or two like others suggested, but i do not think many plants will hold up unless they prefer colder temperatures.
