I have about 150 fry all together, I have them in 3 seperate breeder nets... how many is to many to keep in there? I am scared to put them in the tank cause of the filter, very strong current. Also I have alot of molly's different kinds. If a gold lyre tail male molly breeds with a dalmation molly, does the fry look like a mixture of the 2, or do they look like the male...or the female?

well i dont see why u cant put them all together in one big 20g tank so they can grow out. the fry shouldn't fight with each other. u can always go to ur lfs and buy a filter cover. if u keep then in breeders like that their growth will be stunt esspecially considering that there are so many. i keep my 20 remaining fry in a breeder box till they are big enogh to swim with the big boys. and then their on their own.

and u sound like u'v got an emence amount of fish, do u know how ur gunna get rid of all them? because theres no posible way to keep all of them :D

I keep saying thats it...I am going to let them have there fry in the big tank and what happens happens, but i can't bare it, when i see one all scared I get the net and scoop it out...I have several people that work for walmart that r waiting for these fry to get ready to be moved, so i know i am going to find good homes for them. As for the cover for my filter, I have went every where to try and find something, but noone has anything i can use. I read on her that a stocking will work fine. Also I don't want to put them in the tank, cause they will hide in the gravel...even tho there is alot of plants in the tank, and I want be able to see if there alright. I have learned from experance that if I keep them in a breeder net for a week of so, they get use to me, and want hids at all, so I am trying that on these new ones also. But I am going to have to do something soon...

I was the same way, I couldn't bare letting these new creatures only have 10 seconds of life before being eaten. But now i supply a lfs with gups so i save every last one. :D
I think keeping 50 or so fry in a breeding net/trap is way too cramped and will stunt they're growth. My setup is i have a bare 5 gallon with just a heater and java moss and all new borns live and grow in there. They get fed 4x a day and get a 30% water change every 3 days. When they reach 3months they're big enough to live with adults and not be sucked up the filter.

ok...I am going to put all my babies in the tank, and shut off my filter for a few weeks...
