Questions On Kribs

have a few questions on these kwl fish :D i have a 39gal

1) should i buy 1 male 1 female from the petshop or buy 4 and let them pair off?
2) would they be ok with platies, corys and a pleco?
3) what plants should i get?
4) would plant pots be ok for them to breed in?
5) can they be fed on flakes?

thnx for looking, now can you help lol :p

Hi guppy_man. If you are talking about your current 20 gal tank, i'm afraid kribs will be a non-starter. You are already fully stocked and will need to re-home the sailfin plec, they grow to 18 inches, way too big for that tank.

In general terms:
Kribs normally pair off easily so 2 should be OK.
They are too aggressive for corys and platies
Choose any plants you like, shouldn't matter
Plant pots or any type of cave will be appreciated
A good quality flake will be fine as their main diet
