Can Live plants live in the silica sand or the Tahitian moon or the (black sand)?

Hardy plants can do well in any kind of substrate...what plants are you looking at housing ??

I think as long as you have the proper amount of lighting and fertilization for the plant it will do fine. Mine are doing great in pool filter sand.
