Is it possible to put Willow in a tropical tank?
Reason i ask is i saw some nice bits of willow cane today and i think they would look nice

I would not, some tree sap is poisonous. I remember a list i found once on the web about all the different wood you can and can't use in an aquarium. If you google it you might find something similar.

I have read on this forum about people who leave the wood to stand in a warm place for a month, then place it in an oven (not too hot) and bake it for an hour or two. I dare say different types of wood may need different treatment. I have seen quite a few planted aquariums on this forum that have obviously used twigs from the back garden and is something I certainly hope to try with my next tank.
