I hope someone can help me figure this out.
The website http
/www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_dosage_calc.htm lists the density of potassium nitrate (KNO3) as 5.6 grams per U.S. teaspoon.
However, when I look on Wikipedia or any other reference website, I find that the density is listed as 2.1 grams per cubic centimeter (g*cm^-3). There are 4.9 cubic centimeters in one U.S. teaspoon. This means that Wiki and other sites list the density as
(2.1) g*cm^-3 * (4.9) cm^3 * tsp^-1 = 10. g * tsp^-1 = 10 grams per U.S. teaspoon.
Any ideas as to this discrepancy?
