First of all I need to know what white salt like grains on the fishes body?
And i also need to know My fish has black spots on it?
When i first got it never had black spots.
Same with my brothers goldfish.
Is this normal?

The white spots are known to aquarists as ich. They are parasites that, while always present in the water, only infect over stressed fish. While the parasites can not be killed while under the fish' scales, the larvae swimming in the water can. Raise the temperature, this will increase the ich's life cycle and they will breed and die faster. Since there will be more parasites in the water, medication can be used to kill them. keep treating the tank in a raised temperature and the ich should clear up. As for medications, any that can kill ich will be fine.

As forthe black spots, I haven't had this problem, so maybe someone else can share some information

Also my moms fishes scales were tearing appart?
There healed now but just concerend on what that is?

the goldfish that i had in halls started to develop black tips on his fins, i was really worried thinking that maybe it was fin rot, but it turned out that little loki was just growing, and this was just the colouring of his tail!! perhaps the black spots are the same thing...
