Will they ruin my good bacteria? I am using Interpet treatment. I just need to know how close an eye to keep on my stats.
Also, my temp is up to 82 degrees, how high is too high? I am treating my 210 litres after a gourami appears to have brought white spot in, despite being quarantined and showing no signs of illness :( Fish all seem OK at the mo, spots seem to have dropped off them and I think I see tiny white things swimming round :S I am on day 5 of treatment, hope everything works out OK. Nobody is gasping for air so that is good, though I have lost a guppy, though I don't know if this is due to white spot or not - the other fish had had a good gnaw on him :( and I had not been able to see any spots on any of my guppies.

i took my tank up to 83-84 degrees it flutuated through out the day. i treated for 2 weeks and it looks as if i am in the clear. Good Luck. o yea as you increase the temp make sure you are increasing the air as the heat depletes the oxygen levels.

I will turn up my air pump to make more bubbles for a while - fish won't be impressed, but more bubbles is better than death :p so hard luck to them!
Anyone know if the white spot meds are likely to harm my filter media?

The interpet whitespot meds wont harm your media. 82 should be fine, you can also add more aeration by making sure the filter outlet is breaking the surface to add more oxygen.
