Question About Ottos With My Male Bettas

I have a 10G betta tank divided in 3 partitions, with a male betta on either side and the middle partition left for shrimp (empty as of now).
all three partitions are fully planted. i have 3WPG and use Seachem Flourish liquid supplements this far and it's working well.


I would like to add some ottos for algae control. question is, how many should I put in each partition? will they (the ottos) be safe with the bettas? can/should I put some in the middle (empty) partition as well?

Bettas and oto's do get on, unless your betta is really aggressive

anyway they do prefer groups but i had one on its own in my tank and he was happy, until he died
