hey guys, today by sheer luck and on impulse got my hands on some Nesaea pedicellata 'Golden', which apparently is a brand-new variety just introduced to the hobby by my good ol' state this year. check out info here if you dont know what plant i'm talking about

http://www.floridaaquatic.com/ArticlesNewReleases2009.html

for those of you who know, or perhaps have had the standard variety in the past, is it ok to take it apart from the bunch they give you at the LFS and plant each stalk individually? is it better if i plant double stalks instead? i just dont like the look of the bunch tight at the bottom opening up like a funnel as you go up, and i think the plant would od better spread out horizontally. do i put a weight on each stalk (what i usually do) or will they root quickly so i can just dig them in on their own?

lastly, anyone know the common name for this plant? at the store it was called Golden L-something i think, but the closest thing online to a common name for this i found was African Hygro

thanks :good:

plant the stems individually, into the substrate (no weights).

not sure on common name, infact i dont know many lol
