which kind is the biggest guppy? where does it come from and can it breed with other kinds?

I beleive that any guppy can easily surpass it's adult size if they are taken very well care of. I had a female guppy that grew to 3.5 inches. She was huge and she gave birth to so many fry. I only kept one of her fry which is now grown to 2 inches. She is 8 months old and has already gave birth to many fry. But the big guppy I no longer have. I have heard rumors that a virgen Female guppy can grow twice the adult size(4inches). I believe growth will be determined by how well you take care of your guppy. That means a good varied diet, great water quality(I change my water 15% or sometimes more every week), good environment(tank mates), also to have the right temperatures. So as my conclusion it depends how well you take care of your guppy.

I used to have a rogue guppy fry in my old fry tank and he grew to about 4.5 inches - he was fed on live brine shrimp and flakes every day

The biggest Guppy is a happy, healthy Guppy. They can grow quite large, unfortunatly most die from poor care or inbreeding first. If you do what people have suggested, you should have some nice, healthy Guppies. However, some cannot grow that big because of inbreeding, which makes them smaller, so don't feel bad if your's don't grow massive.
