Question About Filtration On A Mbuna Tank

hi i found a fluval 404 canister filter today for $50 u.s. and im thinking of buying it. my question is is it to much for my 35 gallon hex tank and could i hook it up to both my tanks my other is a 15 high tank and when i buy it what kinds of stuff (like minerals or cartriges ) do i put in it.

how many gph does it do? you cant overdue filtration on an african tank

340 gph but i can turn it down and could i set it up to run both my tanks

Like caboose said, there is not such thing as too much filtration in a mbuna tank. It's always better to be safe than sorry. I would only have it filter the mbuna tank if I were you.
