if i wanted to put sand in my biorb instead of gravel/media would i need to do any thing to my filter? as i noticed it says on the instructions when setting up a biorb that remove all gravel that is smaller than a pea.

thanx guy's :good:

Dont they have undergravel filters? If so then you would have to replace the filter as UGFs use the gravel for filtration. The UGF would just suck up the sand and you would have no filtration.
