Awhile back my girlfriend and i set up a 10 gallon for her.
We put a couple guppies, a couple neons and a male and a female betta in the aquarium.
well the male has been bullying the female alot lately.
Im afraid hes going to kill her.

We've got a 55 gallon with a few angels, 3 bolivian rams, black neons, glow lights and serpae tetras.
Will the male betta be able to live comfortably in the 55 gallon without being picked on?

Thanks

Male and female bettas should never be kept together unless for spawning. Even then, many breeders end up with severely damaged and even dead females.

You need to find a new home for one of them and in the meantime, you need to seperate them. The male could well be picked on by the tetras on the 55 gallon, altough the female might have a slightly better time of it as she doesn't have the long fins.

Bettas are best suited to living on their own in smaller tanks. A 5 gallon would be ideal.
