What's the difference between flakes for goldfish and flakes for tropical fish? I've been feeding my tropical fish goldfish flakes for a while now and I wanna know if there's any difference.

Also, what's the difference between frozen and live bloodworms?

Not sure on the difference between goldfish and tropical fish flakes, although i would imagine goldfish flakes are more high protein and fat oreintated than tropical fish flakes, designed for coldwater fish that need alot of energy and protein in their diet...I've also noticed alot of goldfish flakes aern't very good quality fish foods and have a high "ash" content.
The difference between live and frozen bloodworms? Frozen bloodworms, come well, frozen in a container of some sort, while live bloodworms come wriggling and living- there isn't really a difference between the 2 other than that.

I imagine goldfish flake would contain a bit more vegetable matter in their makeup.

So what do you feed sub-tropical fish? I didn't see any point in buying two lots of food so I feed my WCMM's and weather loach in an unheated tank tropical fish food, Is this alright?

I don't think there is much difference, as if i run out of goldfish flakes i use tropical flakes instead.

Yeah no apparently no difference between frozen & live bloodworms. I buy mine frozen & it says on the pcket they are as nutritious as the live ones.... So they say anyways - my fish dont complain!!!!
