Hey everyone
As a result of reading through a new book on tropical fish care my family just recently picked up, I understand that when it comes to water changing equipment use the equipment should be used purely for that purpose because of the chemicals it comes into contact with - even after it's been rinsed and dried since. However I was wondering if the same applies to kitchen equipment that's just been used on a one off occasion that's since not just been rinsed but properly cleaned? As yesterday, lacking proper equipment at the time, a member of my family used a big kitchen mixing bowl in which to prepare new water - on a one off basis. It's been thoroughly cleaned (not just rinsed) since, as a result of being put through the dishwasher. But wondering at this stage if we'd still be better off just keeping it as a spare for fish water changing in future rather than re-using it for kitchen purposes. Would be very grateful to hear someone else's thoughts, thanks in advance for reading!
