Quarintine Tank Question.

For a quarantine tank.. Could I just get a tank and leave it high and dry in storage and then when I want fish. Fill it up and poor ammonia chips in a HOB filter for the time it is in there?

Ammo chips are a bad idea. Just keep the hospital tank filter running on your main tank, and set up the empty hospital tank with the cycled filter if & when you need it.

why are they a bad Idea? and that makes sence.. I will just do that... thanks!.

They may or may not take care of the ammo, and as the filter does cycle you will get a nitrite spike, something to avoid with an already ailing fish.
