I've decided I'm gonna quarantine everything. Plants, animals etc. So what's a pretty good quarantine, 3 days for plants (in thinking snails) 14 days for fish (don't like ICK).

What do you mean by quarantine everything? Like don't touch your tank for a couple days?
Or are you actually planning to move all your fish, snails etc to a smaller separate tank.
Quarantining usually means putting a fish in a separate (usually smaller) tank before adding it to your main one, to make sure it has no diseases, medicate if necessary etc.

14 days is a good quarantine period for new fish before putting them in a main tank, plants i have no idea why you would need to so i cant say.

No need to Q plants, if you head to the planted section of the forum theres a thread about making a salt bath (or some other solution) to wash new plants in to kill off any snails etc.
