Quaranitne New Fish

I am looking to add some fish to my existing tank and am wondering is there any resources available on quarantine procedures? With my goldfish I always used aquarium salt at a dose of .3% and a round of prazi-pro. I am sure it is different with tropicals as they surly would be more sensitive to a high dose of salt.

Anybody want to share their QT procedure?

Just keep them in a separate tank for a fortnight.

There's no need to add anything unless the fish actually show signs of any disease; it's very bad practice to use meds if they're not needed

+1, if you buy for a good stockist they'll quarantine their fish and not sell you fish that show any sign of disease. My LFS didn't sell me a fish as it wasn't looking great and they put signs in tanks where fish are looking unhealthy (whitespot etc.). I know they run their water through multiple UV lamps and so this kills any bad things suspended in the water.

I'll keep an eye on them in a separate tank. I have an extra cycled tank at the moment I can use.

For the future, you can keep either a small extra filter running in your main tank or keep a spare piece of media in your main filter (if it's big enough) that you can take out; then you'll always have some mature media you can use for quarantine (or fry) tanks if you ever need them
