I have a powder blue cichlid holding!!! :hyper:

How long untill she spits? I just noticed today she had something in there.

Should I seperate her before she spits?

Should I vaccume the gravel or just wait?

Can I add some fresh water, the level is getting low.

sorry so many q's, it's my first time to have a holder!

Congratulations, having a fish holding is exiting nomater if its your first of 1000th.
A holding fish will hold for 3-5 weeks depending on her experience and if she is stressed.
I always seperate my fish as soon as I see them holding due to stress and feeding, they starve themselves untill they spit but they still try and eat and when they do a fry or 2 might slip down plus the havock of the tank mates eating can stress them.
If you vacume the gravel weekly then carry on, just try not to stress her.
Yes you can add water and if you seperate her twice weekly small water changes are better for the fry.

good luck
