i am starting a new tank that is over 100 gallons i i have the live rock and it is curing. when curing is over i want to put the live rock in the tank and run it for a few days then i want to add some fish. but i want to had the fish a few days after starting the tank. if i start them in a Quarenten tank now and leave them in there for six weeks can i start with 2 clarki clowns a flame hawk and a gobie the q-tank is 29 gallons but the main tank would only be running for a week or so prior to fish adding is this ok?

typical suggested stocking rate for a new tank is one fish every month. IMO you need to add those fish slowly over the course of a few months. Also the point in Qting fish is to observe them for diseases such as ich which can take 4-6 weeks to develope.

Don't forget to change water everyday with the live rock curing, never done it, but apparently it's amazing what you save and well worth the effort! :D

(wish I had done it)

Got any pics of your tank??
