My new molly female dropped fry about 3 weeks ago.
When I bought her I had no idea she was pregnant. I love watching the little guys swim around, and chase each other.
But I got to noticing the coloring of them (I'm not sure how the coloring changes with maturity). The mother is a Dalmatian molly, mostly black in color. Most of the fry are mostly white, but I can see speckles of black on them, and they are growing very fast. Out of about 25 that I have counted, about 6, or 8 of them are yellow, and much smaller than the rest of the fry. Is there a chance that my yellow male could have 'fathered' the yellow fry before he died last week? I'm not sure if with fish they are able to get preg by 2 males, and carry fry from both of them..... any opinions?
