Pump

hi well my pop has just given me this filter here is the link pump and i am wanting to use it on my under gravel jets as i need a stronger pump so i was just wondering if this would be safe the pump doesnt actually sit inside the tank it sits outside so would this pump be good for my ugj. he reckons it is about $200 worth of pump

you would be best phoning the company up and ask if the material used is food grade and if the are any metals exposed to the water its pumps if so what they are.

it also pumps out about 1500lph so its fine that side of it. my next tank im going to to install an external pump and run it thought a external pressurized pond filter.

not sure if you saw on the link but it say its not designed for solids (fish waste etc) go though so you might want a prefilter on it.

yes i did see on the link that is not used for fish waste but i tube that is pumping water into the tank will only be taking water f rom the top of the tank but just tobe on the safe side i am going to put a bit of fish net over the pipe that puts the water into the pump so no leafs or anytho\ing can go into it. me and my pop actually took the whole pump apart and their is no metal expsoing to the water.
