The only ones which are sometimes okay are South American puffers AFAIK, but they are also sometimes bad tempered, and will need to have their teeth trimmed from time to time.

There are no real community Puffers im afraid. You will sometimes get South American Puffers (Colomesus Asellus) to "tolerate" other fish but there is no guarantee.

These particular Puffers have extremely fast growing beaks, they need a daily diet of hard foods, snails, crustaceans etc. IF this isn't provided their beaks will overgrow and can eventually lead to the Puffers death. If this starts to occur you need to knock-out the fish and manually file the beak down yourself with a file or such like.
