I have recently acquired 4 juvenile pseudotropheus socolofi
One of them since settling into its new surroundings has distinctly changed in appearance.
The pic below shows one socolofi starting to show egg spot (so I presume a male) and the other differing in overall appearance.
I have read and researched all the material I have I cannot find any pics or explanations of this marked differance - all material I have found says that the fish are indistinguishable in appearance.
Has anyone got an explanation ??
