Just had some fry from my Pseudoxiphophorus bimaculata.

I collected them as fry from Catemaco last year and it is my third brood, the first brood ended up sexing out 1 female and 5 males and the second brood seem to be sexing out far more even, but this brood means that I may be able to let some go soon.

Yes Neal thats the old name for them.

Their one nasty little fish as well i used to have quite a lot of them and females get very large 80-100mm and will eat insects half their own size!!!!

I will try and sort out some pictures over the next month or so.

I will have to give her a week or so of R&R after dropping before giving her any more stress and I am off to Guatemala in a couple of weeks to hopefully collect a couple of the other species in this genus (amongst other things) so doubt I will get a chance before I go.

I have half a dozen tanks of this species now; they were always one of the fish right at the top of my list when I started keeping them and I just love them.

I managed to catch a full size female in Sontecomapan last year and they are a really impressive fish.
