Clues in the title....How do i prune my tiger lily, it's at the surface and needs training! CAn i just chop off the taller leaves?

Jimbooo? calling Jimbooo? :)

I just snip the stem with a pair of scissors as close to the substrate as possible...

mine was taking over my tank so i just cut all the 10 or so stems to the bulb. Now its regrowing and i really like it better when its only a couple inches off the substrate instead of the tank surface.

I have my own question about Tiger Lotus Lillies..

Mine has the bulb, then one single stem, and then after a couple of inches there's a mass of stems, and a bunch of roots that come down. Can I bury the one single stem in the substrate or does it have to be above the surface? Anyone feel like uprooting their own and taking a peek at how it naturally grows? (I recently uproote dmine and moved it, can't remember how it was structurally arranged)
