Pruning Hornwort...how Short Should I Cut

I was wondering how short should I prune my hownwort to its/the base?

leave about 3" with stems, i always do, not dure about to the base, never tried, only plants i have ever done that with is hairgras

tell me the plant in your Avatar is it Java fern? if so do all Java ferns fill in like that?

Yes, but there is numerous plants there, over time (a long time) i suppose 1 plant could get like lthat. If you look at James's journal, he had a good exemple like in my avatar but a full shot:

Thanks Aaron, I have java fern, lots in fact but love the effect, but I may need to overlap them to bulk them up perhaps. Thanks for the link
