i have 2 Alternanthera Pink potted plants that are getting a bit too big for their boots and taking over, i need to know how to successfully trim them without killing them as there is going to be no room for my fish at this rate. Also how can i improver the quality of them over all as they are looking pale limp and lifeless. thanks

It's a relatively simple prune, cut with a good pair of scissors where you want to take it off and you can replant the tops to make a wider spread.

As for looking limp I'd need to know more about how you're keeping it, light, CO2, ferts etc.

yes i would recommend checking your light and maybe adding some co2 and ferts,
