Protien Skimmer Foaming?

I just did a water change and was told to put in aqua safe to take out the chlorine from the tap water. Now the protein skimmer will not stop foaming. I unplugged it for 2 days and did a 20% water change and it's still foaming any suggestions??

Yup, two of them to start. Never use tapwater and never use dechlorinator . For real though, both of those things are BIG no-no's, and you're discovering one of many reasons why. Unfortunately there is little you can do until the dechlorinator is removed from the system, and that may take a lot of running of the skimmer and spewing out foam . Your other possible recourse is to run activated carbon, it may help
