My dad has the percula 90 and the protein skimmer has a kind of airline pipe that comes off protein skimmer with a adjustable valve in the middle of the pipe, and on the other end is a suction pad with what looks like a co2 diffuser. Any idea on what it is and where it needs to be? Below water/ above water etc. Not sure if it helps but the top of the protein skimmer where its ment to get all the dirt has aload of bubbles in it. Any ideas?

It will likely need to be above water, but a photograph will give us all the info needed to say for certain

Is the top protein skimmer cup thing ment to be full of water, and just above on the surface of it there are loads of bubbles. Im guessing this is wrong, but im not sure.

Only dirty water that is formed when all the foam has recombined into a liquid again. Basically you should have the main body with water and a squalling mass of micro bubbles. As the bubbles rise they drag the water/dissolved organic waste up the riser tube in the form of a foam. This foam will then spill over the end of the riser tube into the collection cup.

Can you post a picture?

Cheers mate,

Hi Mate,

It does sound as if something is amiss. It shoudln't be filling with water that fast. When you get the picture up we can see what's what :good:
