As long as you have a decent amount of live rock it shouldnt be much of a problem. I dont know much about filstars, but if you can remove the media slowly instead of all at once you will lessen any "shock" on the tank

If you are keeping tropical marine fish you want the temp to be around 78-80 anyway so I'd say you are all right. The other suggestion I have for you is when you are troubleshooting, only change one factor at a time. If you change more than one factor you aren't isolating the problem and it will make it harder to find.
