I have Elodia, Pennywort, Valesnera (not sure how spell or say it, but it looks a bit like a reed), Java Moss and one other plant that I do not know the name of, however, it is in Jimboo's tank http
/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=101806 it's in the 13th picture down at the back, it has sort of redish leaves.
I'd really like to know what it is to start with, the LFS did not have a name on it and the staff member didn't have a clue (as usual!). Can I prune the top off it and replant the cuttings to create new plants? Can I do the same with the pennywort and elodia?
My Valesnera has grown way too big, the leaves/reeds are all over the surface of the tank blocking what little light I have (1w per g) do I just chop them off back to water level or do I need to remove them from the plant entirely?
Also, am I better off putting the plants in pots or just planting them straight in the gravel (my gravel is about 6cm's deep at one end and around 4cm's deep at the other)?
I also have a Banana Lilly, is there anyway to propogate that too? Cuttings. divisions?
