I'm getting plants in the mail tomorrow from online and I was wondering if I have to do anything special to any of these plants when planting? I know some plants are grown emersed, just not sure which. I don't want a bunch of decaying plant parts in my tank. Also how far apart should I plant the stem plants? Thanks!

Hydrocotyle leucocephala
Bacopa australis
Wisteria
Eleocharis parvula
Jungle Vallisneria
Water Sprite
Micranthemum micranthemoides
Heteranthera zosterifolia
Cabomba caroliniana

I usually poke a hole with my finger then push them into that hole. About the depth, just enough to hold them in place is what i go for.

Hope that helps.

I mean more like do I have to cut off any parts of a plant and how far apart :\

if any are grown emersed then they will rot, just cut the leaves of as soon as you see anything rotting and it will promotoe new growth.
plant the stems max 1" into the substrate, cutting off the bottoms before doing so, again to prromote new growth.

with the E.Parvula, cut it so it is about 3 cm tall and it will soon spread.

Kk, I trimmed the bottoms and picked off stuff that looked like it might die. Cut the tops of the grass too. I hate potted plants. Is there an easy way to take it out of the mushy stuff. I was sitting for 30 minutes trying to pick it off lol.

Boy am I pooped after planting half the tank lol... break time for an hour, or two, or maybe 6 lol.
I hate cabomba. Stupid plants keep floating up. And my angels decided to head right for that and the wisteria

I had like 6, uhh the 2 inch ones  It was hard because the grass is so tiny/thin. Didn't want to pull it and break it in the wrong place.
Still pooped... I'm afraid to look at the tank because the angels are little devils, I bet they pulled out the wisteria and cabomba lol.

How does this look you think? Excuse my laptop touchpad drawing lol. The big brown spot is my wood. The gray is a moss wall. Also, not drawn to exact scale as I suck with that.

you might want to think about a midground plant to break up the heght difference between the C.Balansae & E.Parvula.

Which of the plants I have would be good for that? I don't really know if it would look weird if I left it like that. The wood touches the moss wall and separates the balansae from the parvula. I put more pictures on my journal.
Did I plant the grass properly?

Question, is this algae or my moss balls spreading?
