I am setting up some "prop" aquariums for TV work. They are plastic plants and gravel only. No fish or plants. Doe's anyone know how to keep the water crystal clear? What is making it cloudy with no life forms in it?
Thanks, I know it's a weird question.

There will be no live fish, right? If there will be no live fish you can easily use a water clearing chemical that will make it clear. Filters will also help if you don't have one

Welcome to TFF!

You likely do have life forms, (life always finds a way).

Do you have a filter? If so, I would suggest poly batting in the filter, and reduce the light via a cover over the tank since you have no flora or fauna.

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

The cloudy water is usually caused by the substrate. Draining the tank and refilling it can help. Wiping the inside of the glass with a clean sponge can help. Using a floculating agent like Acurel can help clear the fine particles, as can a filter with filter floss/ wool in it.
